• Sharing hats, combs, brushes, helmets and other personal gear is one of the easiest ways to contract head lice.
• Once infested, children can spread head lice to the entire family.

How to Treat Head Lice 

You can treat head lice yourself in your home, or call a lice treatment service to help. Be sure to:

• Clean the hair with a natural, organic shampoo.
• Remove the eggs (nits) using a special lice removal comb.
• Put hats, pillows, bedding, coats and backpacks into a hot dryer for 20 minutes.
• Re-comb for nits in 7-10 days.
